No pay clauses are likely designed to increase the urgency by which a carrier will submit paperwork but telling someone that they will not be paid at all, after they have done the work? This is completely unacceptable and anyone that would place such a requirement has no business in the trucking industry.
Example 1: CARRIER agrees that BROKER shall not be obligated to pay any invoice or other charges in connection with a shipment if such invoice and other documentation required hereunder, are not submitted to BROKER within thirty (30) days of delivery of such shipment. CARRIER hereby waives all rights and remedies with respect to payment of any invoices or other charges which are submitted (or where the required documentation is submitted) more than ninety (90) days after delivery.
