Hypocrisy

Brokers have pretty consistent demands (requirements) of Carriers but what do they demand of shippers?

Example 1:
G. It is expressly agreed, as a condition of This Logistics Services’ provision of freight services to SHIPPER, that This Logistics Services shall have a lien on all of SHIPPER freight under transport for the total amount owed to THIS Logistics Services for all freight charges, storage and charges for related services, including charges related to freight previously delivered upon the promise of SHIPPER to pay such charges. No further notice of this lien shall be provided to SHIPPER.

  • This is funny as all brokerd demand that carriers agree that we have no right to hold freight or otherwise make any clame to the freight.

Example 2:

Rate quotes are proprietary and confidential information and are not to be divulged to third parties.

  • Except that there is a transperancy law. It seems that Brokers do not want Shippers to know how much they are making on shippments.
